“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?"” -Winnie the Pooh

This is a photograph of my two brother coming in from playing in the snow, this winter. As soon as I developed this roll I thought of this quote. It reminds me that life doesnt need to be so complicated, and that the best things in life are usually simple. Stay of out the drama that makes life messy, and take joy in little things that make our lives unique.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know..." -Dr. Seuss

This picture along with the quote represents the places you go. You choose your own path, and if you dont like the direction your life is taking you are in the drivers seat you have control to steer in another direction. I am not saying I'm an angel and that I have always chose the right path. In ninth grade I decided that i was going to dump my best friend. I have never really understood why i choose to do so. I chose that path and I can't turn back time, I didnt realize it at the time. A year later I apologized for my actions, hoping to heal some of the scars that i caused. Words are not enough to turn back time, or take back the emotional pain you can potential cause so choose your path wisely. " ...You are the guy who'll decide where to go."

"At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them..."-Greys Anatomy

This photograph represents the family, money, age, gender, etc. that stop us from doing what we want. Sometimes we spend life trying to stay inside the lines, other times we are trying to find ways to cross them. Its a tough call chosing between doing whats "good" and doing what you want either good or bad. I believe the best memories are made when you do things your afarid of.. when you step out of your comfort area and walk into the unknown with a open heart.

Painting

"The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together." -Erma Bombeck

In this picture Alex stands behind a sun, showing that day after day and fight after fight, he will still be there. he will still love me and everyone else in our family of six. That though thick and thin your family never leaves. even if you want them to. They may be annoying and have gross habits, but chances are they think the same about you. Family, is an undescribable type of community. There are no words to describe a family, because everyones is different.

Brush Developing

Over the years i have developed this love for paiting. Not cause im good at it, i just have a new found respect for painters. It looks easy and to some degree it is, but when getting to painting the more detailed things it is so hard. This is a picture of the words " Live, Love, Laugh" these words hang on my way, and they cling to my heart. These exact words show that "you cannot take life to seriously, cause you wont come out alive" Even though life tough and there are road blocks everyone needs to live like to the fullest, and laugh every once in a while. it helps you not take life too seriously. And loving life is important. not only searching for love. but loving your friends, your job, yourself. These three words are so simple, but they have a much deeper meaning

Easl Distoration

This image was not part of the theme roll it was purly focused on the technique, easl distoration. This was a very teatious process that took alot of preparation. Because of the deadline for this photo, i was unable to use one of my whole photos and purly focusing on the technique. Therefore this photgraph has no personal meaning attached. This process involved placing a red light filter into the machine and setting up your picutre exactly how you wanted without exposing your photograph. Once it was set up correctly the next step was turning off the light and the exposing the photo.

Window Bracketing

"Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real." -Grey's Anatomy

This photograph is very symbolic, it has differnt meaning and can easily mean something different for each person viewing it. For me the heart oviously represents a broken heart, but not the broken heart of someone in love. It represents all the times that people have let you down. That others who you trusted at one point let you down, and all the people who have changed. Leaving you there to witness it, knowing that there is nothing you can do or say, to turn back time. The Pillar in the back round represents the differnt paths taken in life. At some point you are all on the same road with others in your life and then within a blink of an eye and somewhere through life different paths are taken, separating you from the past that you once knew so well. The faint flag in the backround symbolizes where we come from, our roots. And that no matter how fast or much someone changes eventually there past will re-surface. And they will remember that no matter how much life changes its something that is bound to happen, and needs to happen. It maybe painful and even heart breaking but its part of life, its important to never forget where you came from and the memories you've made along the way. At first glance this picture looks very simple and maybe even not very well thought out. But taking a closer look at it, you may thing otherwise now.
